I'm Ares. I build and run my own systems.

This site is where I keep notes on the things I build — personal AI agents, home infrastructure, and automation that removes work rather than adding it.

The name comes from the Norse myth. Odin traded an eye at Mímir's well for a single drink of wisdom. It's a fair description of how most technical knowledge gets bought.

Current focus

• Mímir — a personal AI agent built on Claude, with persistent memory, explicit behavioral rules, and direct access to my machine. It handles system administration, research, and the automation backlog.
• Workflow automation — n8n handling scheduled and event-driven jobs, plus the usual cron and systemd timers. Built out and left running; not where my attention is at the moment.
• This site — static, no CMS, no database, no build step.
